"Easy" Sunday Morning Yoga. Stretching combined with a mindful flow and meditation. Not exactly gentle, not exactly basics, but definitely not hard.
"I’ve been seeking a better way to live for as long as I can remember. My path led me to pursue my degree in Philosophy, which is where I found eastern and non-traditional spirituality. It wasn’t until many years later that I found yoga, or maybe yoga found me, at a time that I really needed some healing - and yoga sure responded. I fell in love with this practice and I hope you join me so I can share it with you. I think its such a beneficial practice, in particular for modern day issues. I love the mindful attention paid to the body and breath, and that we show up with nothing but a simple mat and get a well rounded workout focused on strength, balance and flexibility. The carpenter and the technician in me likes to bring careful attention to structure, alignment and smart sequencing in my classes. The musician and artist in me connects with the free, playful and loving spirit of yoga. I completed my 200HR teacher training in 2019 at beBhakti Yoga Center in Beacon, NY, my hometown. When I’m not teaching yoga or at my day job doing fiber optic engineering, you might see me somewhere playing guitar or riding my bike around Croton Point."
"Tombo is our elephant mascot. Tombo means dragonfly in Japanese. In most cultures, the dragonfly represents change, transformation, adaptability, and rebirth. This is the original Tombo. I made this woodcarving and decided the elephant needed a name. 'Tombo' immediately came to me. I learned a few days later that tombo means dragonfly. Earlier that day, a dragonfly landed on me while I was driving home. 'Tombo' has been our namesake and mascot ever since."
